Registration Now Open: You’ll Be Blue If You Miss the SCCA Time Attack Challenge at Autobahn This August

Listen, when it comes to a strong SCCA® Time Attack Challenge culture, Chicagoland has it. You might (possibly) say those who participate in the Tire Rack SCCA Time Attack Challenge at Autobahn Country Club, Aug. 1-2, 2006, in Joliet, IL, are on a mission from God.

The Autobahn event will utilize the 2.1-mile, 15-turn South Circuit and, as always, the event will be open to the full range of classed cars – even something with a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, with cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. Maybe a model made before catalytic converters, so it'll run good on regular gas. But that goes in the Unlimited class. Just fix the cigarette lighter.

With that, we’re all out of Blues Brothers gags, so let’s move on...

A Good Time

Drivers at this Tire Rack SCCA Time Attack Challenge should expect two days of on-track adrenaline while surrounded by great friends.

The track’s fast straights, technical corners, and forgiving run-off areas offer a fantastic venue for everyone to stretch their legs in comfort. Try to tell us this doesn’t look like a good time:

There’s also the camping – part of the bigger adventure of the weekend. As the track goes cold, the bench racing, camaraderie, and fun heat up. Don’t know anyone attending this event? Come camping at Autobahn and that’ll change.

Registration Time

We’re telling you all of this now because registration has just opened. The cap for the event is set at 90, so space is limited. Also, you’ve only got until May 15 to sign up and save $100 with the early bird entry discount.

So, jump on over to the event page for all the information you need. You can register, then get ready to find out what happens when you’re 106 miles to Chicago with a full tank of gas, it's dark... and you're wearing sunglasses.

Just try to stay out of the Old Joliet Prison.
