SCCA® mourns the passing of Michael Printup, a longtime leader in motorsports and Chief Operating Officer of Racing America. Michael spent nearly three decades in the industry, including 15 years as president of Watkins Glen International, where he played a significant role in the growth and success of major motorsports events. He was widely respected for his leadership, passion for racing, and commitment to the sport.

The following is a statement from Sports Car Club of America President and CEO Mike Cobb on the passing of Racing America Chief Operating Officer Michael Printup.

“All of us at SCCA are heartbroken by the passing of our friend and partner, Michael Printup. Michael was a respected leader in motorsports and a valued partner to our organization. His passion for racing and his impact on U.S. motorsports will be felt for years to come. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Stephanie; his sons, Brendan and Matthew; and all who loved and worked alongside him. Godspeed, Michael.”
