Happy Thanksgiving, from the Sports Car Club of America™! There has been a lot to be thankful for this year, like an incredible motorsports season that kicked off early in the year (in spectacular fashion, no less) with the Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA Super Tour, Tire Rack SCCA Solo® National Tour, and Tire Rack SCCA Time Attack Challenge. The year then wrapped with the Tire Rack SCCA® ProSolo® Finale, Tire Rack SCCA Solo National Championships, Tire Rack SCCA Time Trials Nationals, National Championship Runoffs® Presented by Sunoco, United States RoadRally Challenge®, and RallyCross® National Championship. SCCA’s 2025 truly ended with a roar – and we’ve got videos to prove it.
One quick aside: The SCCA National Office will be closed on Nov. 27-28, 2025, for Thanksgiving. Many membership questions can be answered via my.scca.com. Otherwise, we’ll be back in the office on Monday, Dec. 1, to help you out.
Back to those videos!
We’ll begin with a recap of the 2025 Solo National Championships, which took place Sept. 1-5 at Lincoln Airpark in Lincoln, NE. Roughly 1,300 drivers came from across the nation to compete for a chance to call themselves a National Champion.
Then there was the Time Trials Nationals, which took place at Pittsburgh International Race Complex on Sept. 19-21, 2025. While nobody knew it at the time, this would be one of the track’s last hurrahs, as within a month, it had been announced that Pitt Race had been sold and the racetrack would cease operations by the end of the year.
And hopefully you didn’t miss the National Championship Runoffs, which took place Sept. 29-Oct. 5, 2025, at the historic Road America circuit near Elkhart Lake, WI. This event has seen such luminaries compete as Bobby Rahal, Graham Rahal, Jimmy Vasser, Scott Sharp, Elliott Forbes-Robinson, Skip Barber, Boris Said, Michael Galati, and Paul Newman. Arguably, the delight of 2025 came in Super Touring® Under, where multi-time SCCA Pro Racing champ and motorsports legend Peter Cunningham earned his first Runoffs gold medal, beating out another well-known name in motorsports, Chip Herr.
Happy Thanksgiving!
