Time Attack Challenge 2026 Schedule: Coming at You Fast from Both Coasts

We’ve dripped some of this information out over the last few months (like here and here), but those teases have danced around what the 2026 Tire Rack SCCA Time Attack Challenge season will look like. Now, it’s time to throw the complete schedule at your face with full force.

In 2026, the Time Attack Challenge will be back with eight stops that span this country from sea to shining sea, with one series on the East Coast and another on the West Coast. Furthermore, the series will cover nearly the entire year. Craziness!

“2026 will be an amazing year for SCCA Time Attack, building off the successes the series saw in 2025,” said SCCA’s Manager of National Time Trials John Hunter. “We’ve got eight events split across the East and West Coasts, all taking place at some of the best motorsport circuits in America – and we know these are among the most awesome Time Attack tracks because participants told us so.”

One of the biggest changes for the coming year is there will be two distinct point series, one for East Coast events and the other for the West Coast.

“There will be East Coast Time Attack Challenge Point Champions and West Coast Time Attack Challenge Point Champions,” Hunter said. “Drivers are welcome to do any – or all – Time Attack Challenge events they like, but the points will only apply to the coast the series belongs to. If someone can win in both, though, there’ll be props for sure.”

The Rundown

The action kicks off as it did in 2025, in Sin City at Las Vegas Motor Speedway running on the technical outside road course. This time, though, the event has moved to the week after Valentine’s Day (Feb. 21-22), making the weekend an easier sell when convincing your significant other this is a must-attend event.

From there, the series travels to Eagles Canyon Raceway in Decatur, TX, on May 3-4 – a facility and track that, well, if you know, you know. Then it’s back to the West Coast for the May 30-31 weekend at Thunderhill Raceway Park in Willows, CA, followed by a June 13-14 weekend on the other end of the continent at Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, SC – yet another fan favorite.

The series begins its winddown in August with events nearly bookending the month, one falling on Aug. 1-2 at Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, IL, and the other on Aug. 22-23 at The Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, WA. The series then stays on the West Coast to wrap up at Buttonwillow Raceway Park in central California.

“SUPERFLY will return with lifestyle events and car shows on most Time Attack weekends, while West Coast events will also take place alongside the famed Global Time Attack series,” Hunter added. “Another treat is that leading into all East Coast Time Attack Challenge events will be an SCCA Targa.”

But wait – an event is missing! We’ll get to the inaugural Tire Rack SCCA Time Attack National Championship in a moment. But first:

Where’s the Time Attack National Championship?

The elephant in the room is the inaugural Tire Rack SCCA Time Attack National Championship. It had previously been announced that the first year of SCCA crowning National Champions for Time Attack would take place in September at Pittsburgh International Race Complex, but following the surprise announcement that Pitt Race would be ceasing operation at the end of 2025, the Time Attack National Championship was left without a home.

“We’re working on it,” Hunter said. “As soon as we heard the news that Pitt Race would be closing, we instantly started forming a plan. We’ve got some exciting ideas in the works – but the most important thing was to get the rest of the 2026 Time Attack Challenge schedule out there. We’re pumped about next year’s schedule, and we want to make sure everyone had plenty of time to get these events on their calendar.”

The Time Attack National Championship will not only be a winner-take-all event, but it will also count toward points for the East Coast Time Attack Challenge point series.
