You Vote: Who Will Win the Runoffs? Saturday’s Races

Earlier this week, we invited you to guess who would win Friday’s races during the 2022 SCCA National Championship Runoffs at VIRginia International Raceway. And with the Sept. 30-Oct. 2 championship races fast approaching, it’s time to jump into predicting Saturday’s races, seeing who you think has the advantage.

Saturday’s docket is a good one, with Touring 4 kicking off the action, followed by GT-Lite, Formula Vee, and the Spec Miata bout that’s sure to be a thriller. Following lunch, the mighty B-Spec takes to the racing circuit, followed by Formula Atlantic (arguably the polar opposite of B-Spec), H Production, Prototype 1, and Touring 2.

While the Runoffs Hagerty Race Days take place over the Sept. 30-Oct. 2 weekend, the Runoffs officially kicks off on Sept. 24 with three days of practice. Qualifying takes place on Sunoco 260 Tuesday, Hawk Brake-Through Performer Wednesday, and Tire Rack Pole Day Thursday. The complete Runoffs schedule can be found here.

If you can’t attend this year’s Runoffs, you can watch the races live for free on SCCA.com! Just download the schedule linked to above, remember that the race times are all listed as Eastern Daylight Time, grab a bag of popcorn, and prepare to spend the rest of the day watching the best amateur racing around.

Yes, we admit that we have no clue who will win come the green flags at the Runoffs, and that’s OK – this pole is completely for fun! So if we happen to have forgotten to place your name in the poll, just assume we misspelled it as “Other” and vote accordingly.

Now, let’s continue the guesswork by jumping into Saturday’s Runoffs races:
