2018 Tire Rack Crows Landing CAM Challenge Fast Notes

For the first time, a Tire Rack CAM Challenge Powered by SCCA was held in conjunction with another Tire Rack National Solo event this past weekend in Crows Landing, CA. Of the 231 cars competing in the ProSolo, 27 were dedicated for the CAM Challenge.

The competition was fast and furious all weekend long with Chad Ricker in his 1968 Chevrolet Camaro led the way to the Top Qualifier position for the CAM Challenge on Sunday afternoon.  He was followed by David Rock in a 2001 Chevrolet Corvette and Dennis Healy in a 2016 Ford Mustang GT.  These three also took home honors as being the fastest in their respective classes: CAM Traditional, CAM Sport and CAM Contemporary.

The top eight drivers went into the CAM Challenge with one driver bowing, making room for Jordan Priestley in a 2017 Chevrolet Corvette. With some luck and skill, Priestley beat the odds to take the overall CAM Challenge victory.

Saturday night, Mike Maier Inc. hosted a hospitality area for all ProSolo and CAM competitors, a great way to reflect on a fun day in the sun with some food, cold beverages and friends.
