As mentioned in this space a few times, the Sports Car Club of America is set to stage the first ever Time Trials Nationals at NCM Motorsports Park in Bowling Green Kentucky, September 28, 29 and
The event will have a variety of elements; starting with untimed lapping sessions to get everyone up to speed and then timed lapping sessions and point-to-point competition. Drivers will only need minimal experience and anyone who enters the event without a competition license can earn a TT Novice Permit.

Last week the Time Trials Board released an update to the preliminary Time Trials Nationals rule set and opened the second comment period which ends April 6th.
In the initial feedback received suggested there were two areas that the TTB could address immediately. As a result, the safety language has been updated to clarify the requirements for factory driver safety equipment and the Max level rules now allow chassis mounted aero.
