What's on Tap This Weekend?

Need to get your racing fix during this weekend? Well you’re in luck. We have plenty of SCCA action going on this weekend, all over the country. If autocross is your fancy, the final regular-season ProSolo event takes place this weekend at the Wilmington (Ohio) AirPark. You can follow the action by visiting sololive.scca.com.

On the Pro Racing side of the coin, the Pirelli World Challenge GT, GT-A, GT Cup and GTS classes are competing at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this weekend with the Verizon IndyCar series. With sessions scheduled on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, all the action can be seen via live video streaming at world-chalengetv.com.

In GT, sports car ace Olivier Beretta holds a comfortable lead. However, comfortable is only a relative term as seasoned drivers Ryan Dalziel and Johnny O’Connell lurk within striking distance of the Ferrari driver. The GTS point battle also offer some intrigue as Andrew Aquilante holds a slim lead in the drivers’ standings over his Phoenix Performance teammate Kurt Rezzetano. What makes this even more interesting is that this is the team’s first full season in the series.

Out at Pittsburgh International Race Complex, the F2000, F1600 and Atlantic Championship Series continue their respective 2015 campaigns. All three of these series feature drivers looking to step up their on-track game by racing in a professional-level series following successful forays in the Club Racing world.
