End of Tire Rack Solo Nationals Early Registration Approaching

TOPEKA, Kan. (July 28, 2015) – The entry fee for the Tire Rack SCCA Solo National Championships Presented by Garmin VIRB is scheduled to jump from $170 to $300 on Tuesday, Aug. 4, as early registration comes to a close. This year’s edition of the event is scheduled for Sept. 8-11, at the Lincoln (Neb.) Airpark.

The Tire Rack Solo National Championships is a four-day event that crowns the top drivers in each of the 76 championship-eligible classes and six supplemental classes. Annually, this event is the largest motorsports competition in the world. So, getting signed up early is the only way to ensure that a racer can get their choice of competition number.

The theme for this year’s event is Return 2 the Concrete Beach. With the tropical overtones, the event will feature numerous activities throughout the week. There will be a welcome party on Monday evening, before competition begins on Tuesday. The party includes complimentary food and beverages for all registered competitors, with after-dinner entertainment.

In addition, banquets honoring the newly-crowned National Champions will be held on Wednesday and Friday evenings. Aside from the new Champions, some of the most important awards in the Solo community will be given out, including Driver of Eminence, the Solo Cup and Spirit of the Sport award.

Drivers who register during the Early Registration period have until the close of business on August 21 to request a refund via email at bharmer@scca.com.
