Mid-States Approaching The Finale At Pueblo

PUEBLO, Colo. (July 25, 2015) – Just one race remains in the Mid-States SCCA Majors Championship following Saturday’s Round 11 races at Pueblo Motorsports Park.

Only Sunday’s races remain after Saturday’s 25-minute races, leaving just 25 points available in each class.

With the season winding down, one of the year-long storylines has been the debut of the third generation Spec Racer Ford. The well received product – faster and better handling than the previous generation – was designed and built at SCCA Enterprises under the lead of Mike Davies. Davies had a chance to get out of the “office” and back behind the wheel this weekend to use his product, and walked away with the win in the No. 1 SCCA Enterprises/Ford Racing Spec Racer Ford.

Bill Hingston put his No. 08 Little Bill Racing/Mazdaspeed Mazda Miata in front of the F Production field early, until giving way to Eric Prill’s No. 7 MaxtonsFight.org/Jesse Prather Motorsports/Hoosier Mazda Miata. Kevin Ruck missed the call to the grid in his No. 73 Hoosier/Honda Performance Development Acura Integra, and started at the back of the field. Ruck worked his way through traffic, eventually moving past Hingston and aiming for Prill. Prill had enough of a cushion to keep the lead and the clinch the Conference Championship.

More information on the Pueblo Majors event, including interviews with the race winners, can be found on SCCA.com.

The Mid-States Conference finale will be run on Sunday, beginning at 10:15 a.m. MST. Live timing and scoring can be found on the Race Monitor app or at SCCA.com.
