SCCA Members earn spots at International Race Camp in England

SCCA members, Ryan Lynch, Broomfield, Colo. and Max King, Franklinville, N.J., join four other Grand Turismo6 gamers as finalists for the chance to become Nissan’s next professional racecar driver as part of the Nissan GT Academy. The six finalists will represent the United States during the International Race Camp at Silverstone Circuit in England where they will be joined by 14 others from around the world to compete to be the next GT Academy Champion.

The finalists defeated nearly 30,000 fellow online gamers in the past three months to earn a place at the U.S. Finals in Nashville, a two day event consisting of virtual races, fitness challenges, skill testing and on-track time trials. The program is a collaboration between PlayStation and Nissan, using the Grand Turismo6 video game to discover real-world racing talent.

From the entire SCCA community, congratulations and good luck to Ryan and Max as they head to England in August.
